Her husband and his father are both Army veterans. Her brother served in the Navy. And for more than 5 years, Amy Haviland volunteered her service as recording secretary for Honor Flight Syracuse’s philanthropy committee.

As a member of the U.S. Navy from 1966-1969, he served on the USS Ticonderoga. His family selected Honor Flight Syracuse to be the recipient of memorial gifts.

Sometimes, veterans are unable to make the flight to Washington for health reasons. That’s where “Honor Everywhere” steps in with a special presentation at Hancock Airport on Mission day.

In Philadelphia, on October 15, at the Annual Congress of the United States Naval Order, our co-founder, Rear Admiral (retired) John Paddock was honored for his volunteer service to the Naval Order and for his service to veterans… by citation!!!

Honor Flight Syracuse celebrated the 100th birthday of WWII veteran David Detlor on January 26.
