Honor Flight Syracuse’ Mission #003 succeeded in taking 64 veterans to visit their memorials in D.C. CONGRATULATIONS and our most heartfelt THANKS go out to all those HFS Staff and Volunteers who worked so hard to make this flight a rousing success! Well done!

Honor Flight Syracuse is now a Certifying Organization (CO) for the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program.

HFS President Randy Flath received the 2013 Distinguished Friend of Veterans Award from the Onondaga County Veterans Council for his work in forming the Honor Flight Syracuse hub to serve the CNY military veterans community.

Despite the Government shutdown and closure of some DC memorials, Mission #002 succeeded in taking 64 WW-II and Korean War veterans to visit their memorials in D.C. Cares invited HFS to participate in their Employee Sports Days in May. John Paddock, HFS V.P. received a generous donation check for $1000.00 from Anthony Keach, President, SU Veterans of America Chapter.

Sue Moran, (President), Sharon Paddock and Angie Gregory of the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post-239 in Skaneateles, NY presented Honor Flight Syracuse with a check for $3000.00.

Honor Flight Syracuse was presented with a generous gift check by the Order of the Eastern Star to further support our mission to send our World War II & Korean War veterans to Washington, DC to visit the memorials built in their honor. Thank you to the Order of the Eastern Star for your support…

On Saturday, June 29th, 2013, John Paddock, V.P. Honor Flight Syracuse accepted a check for $6,000.00 from the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation and The Lions Club.
